Development Director

St. Michael’s Catholic Academy of Austin, Texas is seeking to fill the position of Development Director. This position will report directly to the Principal. The successful candidate will be responsible for all fundraising, development, alumni relations and programming to support the mission of St. Michael's. The Development Director supports the St. Michael’s Foundation and its endeavors to raise funds solely for St. Michael's Catholic Academy. The Development Director will collaborate with the Principal and other identified stakeholders in establishing and fulfilling long-range and strategic planning goals. The position will also be responsible for managing, executing and tracking major gift solicitations. Planning new initiatives in development and keeping up with current trends in fundraising will be expected. This role will act as the Planned Giving Officer to encourage legacy gifts to the school. A bachelor's degree is required and a master's degree and/or CFRE certification is preferred. The candidate needs a minimum of five years of directly related experience in development and leadership. Experience in major gift fundraising, planned giving, development services, alumni relations, event planning, and annual giving is required. The successful candidate should have competency with computer programs including Microsoft Office as well as knowledge of Raiser's Edge and PowerSchool or similar databases.
