Laurie Kish Garza
Project Manager
Laurie Kish Garza is Project Manager for Petrus.
She was introduced to fund development while working for the Stewardship and Development office at the Diocese of Austin, Texas, where she assisted in the quiet phase of a $15 million Capital Campaign for St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School.
Before beginning her involvement with fundraising, she was Associate Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry for Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Austin. In each position, she was responsible for youth and adult training programs and workshops, diocesan and regional youth conferences, and developing resources for use in parishes and schools.
Laurie served on the Board of Directors for the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association from 2005-2007, as well as advisory and ministry boards for a variety of non-profits and retreat centers in Wisconsin and Texas.
She graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she double-majored in Broadcast Communications and Political Science, and received a Masters Degree in Theology from Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Eric.
