Intern

Nicole Alvarado is Petrus Development’s first intern.

She met Peter through a newsletter contract for the Texas A&M Department of Communication. After graduation, he offered her a part-time position with the company while she got her feet on the ground in Austin. She also works part-time as an editorial assistant at The Austin-American Statesman.

She picks up the odds and ends of the office by helping with administrative responsibilities, managing office organization, helping coordinate correspondence for Petrus and assisting the Project Manager, Laurie Kish Garza.

Nicole was the editor-in-chief of The Battalion, the student newspaper at Texas A&M, her junior year of college. Her previous internships include Cox Radio in Houston, Texas, and Dan Rather Reports in New York City. She graduated early from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where she received a B.A. in Communication and minored in Journalism. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her best friend from high school.
